The Climate of the Gilgit Baltistan is alpine in nature. The winter tends to be cold whereas the late summers are very pleasant. The four seasons are distinct in the splendor of their colors.Spring Season (March – April) The most beautiful and awe- inspiring time of the year is spring season. Spring season in Upper Hunza Valley is something behold, this is the time of the year when trees of Almond, Apricots, Peach and Apple burst in to different colors with hues of Red, Pink, white and Purple. The clear bracing weather offers the best view of the surrounding mountains. Spring season attracts many tourist who witness the blossoms. Spring time marks the opening of the tourist’s season in Upper Hunza Valley.Summer Season (May – September)

Summer months in Upper Hunza Valley usually start in the beginning of May and last till about end of September. Hunza Valley is holiday’s makers – delight and a wonderful land of magnificent scenic beauty and rich historical past. Its lush green fertile valleys, towering snow- capped mountains, meandering streams, rushing torrents, ice cold lake, fruit – laden orchards and flower- filled pastures with smiling and dancing multicolored flowers are some of the gifts which nature has best owned on this ancient land. Its great attraction is its altitude and therefore cool climate during summer months and attractive surroundings make the valley a dream comes true.

Autumn Season (October – November)

The transition from summer to autumn takes place during the last few days of September. Autumn is a time when the landscape of upper Hunza Valley looks like a painting, with the tree leaves turning gold, red, orange and yellow, contrasting sharply with the barren mountains with snow-covered peaks and the emerald green waters of fast- flowing rivers. It is the best time for exploring the beautiful upper Hunza Valley.

Winter Season (December – February)
